For centuries Lebanon always imposed itself as a “must passage” for the exchange of culture and trade between Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Uniquely situated Lebanon’s geographical location, populations’ intelligence and motivation paved the path for it to conquer vast markets spread all over the world. At the same time, an impressive “Diaspora” -strongly linked to the motherland- planted itself in different continents. Such accomplishments were never integrated, or motivated and/or supported by military power or means, but by sheer intelligence and a very strong, collective, “will power”. Very few countries, down history’s memory-lane can claim such an honor.

Logically, after the end of the “Civil war” the “rush” to invest in Lebanon was basically concentrated in the capital Beirut. The first years were marked by speculative and short-term acts: “Hit and run investment and profit-taking”, as I name it. Land prices, especially in Beirut, sky rocketed and unemployment surged in Lebanon.

Today, in a chaotic world plagued by uncertainty and opposing political and business “currents” storming the front doors of all countries; in this context, Lebanon was able to show an impressive, and continued internal security-stability accompanied by a very high national debt and excellent investment opportunities. This is Lebanon’s secret “to give birth to strength from its weakness”. Long-term, investors local and foreign- are jumping on this occasion.

“Ruwayha Tourism Village” is a living manifestation of this “spirit”.
